Come experience Philadelphia’s highest performing charter middle school! We invite you to come in to observe classrooms in session and meet current students, families and faculty. You can even fill out an application on site!

SpeakUp! at Young Scholars Charter School – Tonight!

Young Scholars Charter School will be hosting the annual Speak Up! tonight. Join students, family, and facultyto discuss topics like stress, respect, and bullying.

SpeakUp! provides a foundation for a lifetime of positive communication and enables youth to make positive life choices. Young Scholars will meet professionals who will facilitate “break-out groups” to discuss real issues effecting our students’ lives. An interactive, non-lecturing forum is established to enable students, parents, and educators to share honest thoughts, questions, concerns, etc.

At Young Scholars Charter School, students, teachers and school leaders have been preparing for the upcoming Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA). The excitement is in the air and Young Scholars are just hours away from taking the test!

Here are some words of gratitude from Scholars who wanted to share their appreciation for the motivation and encouragement they recieved in preparation for the PSSA.

Young Scholar Competes in Contest to Win a Technology Makeover For School

Young Scholar, Naeemah (Class of 2021), has entered the Lenovo Dream to Do Contest. Her entry is live on their website and voting is open between now and April 16. You can vote once a day, every day. The winning entry receives a technology makeover for their school!

Naeemah wants to become a fashion designer when she grows up. Check out her inspired drawing, and vote for her! A winning entry means a technology makeover for her Young Scholars Charter School, which will help Naeemah and all of her classmates make their dreams become reality!

Young Scholar Brian Ferrell, Class of 2020, travels to Fairmount Park after-school to participate in Work to Ride, a long-term prevention program for at-risk youth. As a member of the program, Brian develops riding skills, is learning to play polo and is reinforced to make positive decisions in his life.
