Dave Simnick
Teacher
Dave Simnick is new to Young Scholars through the Teach for America program. As any first year teacher, Dave has experienced challenges in his classroom but has also seen tremendous growth. One of Dave’s strongest qualities is that he is always open to feedback, always looking to improve and always asking what more can we do. Meet Mr. Simnick:
“I graduated in 2009 from American University and I currently attend the Graduate School of Education at UPenn. I was a speechwriter/communication consultant for a year in Washington, D.C. and I found it lacking in meaning. I chose to pursue teaching because I wanted challenge, leadership, and a chance to make a lasting impact on tomorrow’s future.
“I joined Young Scholars because of the strong school community. I have loved all of my time with our amazing students.”
